Häfele Lighting Reference Guide
Häfele is committed to producing, marketing and selling products that meet or exceed all relevant safety standards for the industry.
Häfele Lighting products are designed and manufactured to achieve the most relevant standard in the United States, as defined by Underwriters Laboratory (UL), UL2108 (Standard for Safety Low Voltage Lighting Systems).
- UL2108 applies to low voltage lighting systems and components intended for permanent installation and use in locations following the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70, Article 411 (Lighting Systems Operating at 30 Volts or Less and Lighting Equipment Connected to Class 2 Power Sources
- The UL2108 listing of low voltage lighting products is also relevant when our customers want to comply with other standards such as UL962 for residential and commercial furnishings, UL970 for commercial display cases and UL1286 for office furnishings. These standards are only referenced as examples and are not meant to be an exhaustive list of potential requirements to consider in applying low voltage lighting systems.
- Compliance with relevant standards and codes is the responsibility of our customers when using the Häfele low voltage lighting systems, and it is the installer’s responsibility to ensure the lighting is applied correctly, safely and in compliance with all applicable codes.
- Many local electrical code interpretations exist in the United States, and it is advisable to proactively understand these nuances before installing low voltage lighting in construction or furniture products.
- In jurisdictions where the NEC Article 410 (Luminaires, Lampholders and Lamps) applies, care must be taken in selecting the correct placement and/or luminaire. Consider the following points in particular when using luminaires in a clothes closet:
- All Häfele Lighting luminaires are suitable for use in clothes closet spaces, provided installation satisfies the required location constraints of NEC Article 410.16C (Luminaires in Clothes Closets-Location).
- LED strip lights must always be installed within a linear profile with a lens and endcaps to ensure that the LED light source is enclosed and cannot be contacted.
- If luminaires are to be installed in a location that may place them in direct contact with items stored in the closet or storage space, they are required to pass an additional test under the standard UL1598 (Standard for Safety- Luminaires). This is an additional requirement contained in the UL2108 listing, which as previously outlined, is the general certification making the luminaires suitable for installation in the storage area of a clothes closet.

- The Häfele Adjustable Shelf Lighting system is UL listed under the UL2108 standard. Per NEC 411.6C (Low-Voltage Lighting Systems, Secondary Circuits, Bare Conductors), our bare low voltage conductor (bus bar) is specifically listed for installation in locations lower than the code required 7' height.

The refraction angle (beam angle) describes the angle between two imagined straight lines in a plane through the visual beam axis, whereby these straight lines go through the center of the front of the lamp and through the points at which the illuminance is 50% of the illuminance on the visual beam axis. |

| Illuminance | The illuminance is the luminous flux (lm) in relation to a surface (m²) and it is indicated in Lux (lx). It is used to measure the brightness with which a surface is illuminated. |

| Binning | During industrial manufacture, LEDs differ from each other with regard to color, luminous flux (brightness) and forward voltage. In order to achieve consistent light quality with the same brightness level and a uniform light color, they are therefore sorted according to color, luminous flux and forward voltage and separated into bins (“containers”) during manufacturing. This sorting process is known as Binning. Häfele exclusively uses bins with a high degree of brightness in order to achieve high efficiency. |

| Color Temperature and Light Color | The color temperature is a specification of the color appearance of a white light source and is measured in Kelvin (K). The lower the color temperature, the warmer the light color; the higher the color temperature, the cooler the light color. White light sources with a color temperature below 3400 K are considered “warm white” by Häfele, white light sources with a color temperature between 3400 K and 5700 K are considered “cool white”. White light sources above 5700 K are referred to as “daylight white”. |

| Color Consistency / Color Differences | ![]() Color differences are specified in stages, so called “MacAdams Ellipses” or “SDCM” (Standard Deviation of Color Matching). Häfele uses 3 SDCM binnings for its LED products. This is a good value, because it is statistically unlikely that LEDs with a maximum color difference will be next to each other on the strip light or in the light and that the color difference is visible. In its ErP directive, the EU Commission stipulates that 6 SDCMs may not be exceeded for LED products.

| Color Rendering Index CRI | The color rendering index is a parameter that can be used to compare the color rendering quality of light sources at the same color temperature. The higher the value, the better the color rendering. A value of 100 corresponds to the color rendering of sunlight. |

| Life Time | Specified in operating hours. The life time mainly depends on the warming of the products. The hotter the environment, the shorter the life time. The replacement rate in years is calculated from the total life time and the average operating time per annum. The following table can be used as a planning aid. The specified life time relates to L80/B10.

| Life Time L80 / B10 | L80 is the time after which the LED is still emitting 80% of its original light. B10 means that 10% of the LEDs may have less than 80% of the original light output. Häfele tests all LEDs it uses in accordance with the LM-80 standard. LM-80 is a standardized testing method, which allows products to bear the EPA's (Environmental Protection Agency) Energy Star. The test is a manufacturer-independent comparison of LEDs. During the test the luminous flux (Lumen maintenance) of an LED is tested at three different temperatures for a minimum of 6,000 hours. Then the life time L80 is calculated by means of extrapolation. The extrapolation procedure is described in regulation IES TM-21. |

| LED | A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semi-conductor element that emits light when electricity passes through it. This semi-conductor element consists of a crystal that is attached to a metal base, and both are encapsulated in protective plastic. LEDs are mostly based on inorganic, i.e. non-carbon based materials. |

| Luminous Efficacy | The luminous efficacy is the ratio of the luminous flux and the wattage absorbed. It is used to measure the operating efficiency of the light source. It is indicated in Lumens per Watt (lm/W). |

| Luminous Flux | It is indicated in Lumen (lm). The luminous flux indicates the light output, i.e. the quantity of light a source emits. The value may be subject to measurement and production-related fluctuations of ±10%. |

| Drop in Luminous Flux | The brightness of the LEDs on LED strip lights decreases with the length of the strip light due to the increasing resistance of the copper line. A drop in luminous flux from the first to the last LED of up to 30% is imperceptible to the human eye. That's why Häfele specifies a maximum strip light length for this visual value. Generally, it is possible to operate strip lights with longer lengths, but a difference in brightness will be visible. Exception: The LEDs of the strip lights with constant current technology (LED 3050/3051/3052) always have the same brightness. |

Technical Questions
LED strip lights without a silicone sleeve do not require cleaning. Silicone strip lights can be wiped down with a damp, anti-static cloth. Scouring agents and aggressive cleaners can destroy the surface and attack the LEDs.
To ensure the safety and functionality of the installation, only Loox drivers, or drivers that have been explicitly approved by Häfele should be used. If an electronics technician installs the system, Häfele Lighting can also be connected and coupled with on-site electrical equipment. However, we explicitly point out that these tasks must be performed by a qualified electrician.
Loox5 drivers are rated for 50,000 hrs. with a max. ambient temperature of 104° F. The lifetime is doubled with an ambient temperature of < 86° F. When installing the driver, keep a minimum distance of 50 mm (2") on all sides to ensure sufficient air supply and circulation.
Ensure proper switch cable connections and dip switch settings for multi-function switches.
Sensor switches should be installed with the TOP lettering on the switch pointing upwards.
Häfele makes high demands on the selection of the materials. All Häfele LED strips contain high-quality and long-lasting LEDs from industry leading suppliers. Häfele sets very tight quality specifications to ensure consistent color temperature throughout the product line.
12 V systems: 12 V x 5.0 A = 60 W with a 60 W driver
24 V systems: 24 V x 3.75 A = 90 W with a 90 W driver
The maximum lead length from the Häfele driver to the device is 10 m (32' 9 11/16").
Long cable lengths in combination with large loads (strip light lengths) can result in voltage losses in the cable. These lead to visible loss of brightness in the lights. The illuminance listed with the lights has been determined with the rated output voltage of the driver. (12 V or 24 V).
AWG stands for American Wire Gauge.
It is the coding for wire diameters in electrical leads that are mainly used in North America. This identifies the cross-section of wires in electrical leads that consist of stranded or solid core wire.

The type of cable is imprinted on the coating of the cable.
Yes, however the acrylic glass increases the color variations (binning) up to four times and minimal color deviations are therefore more visible.
Yes, up to three wired switches can be connected to the 6-way multi-switch distributor (see page 258). With Häfele’s Connect Mesh wireless controls, multiple wireless switches or remotes can be paired with several Connect Mesh distributors using the Connect Mesh mobile app or directly with EasyPairing.
Yes. Our LED strip lights can be used; however, it is important to note that the voltage peaks may reduce the lifetime. We also offer Constant Current LED strips with a special IC chip that compensates for voltage fluctuations of the vehicle power sources without problems.
Yes. Our COB Complete silicone strip lights provide IP67 protection when installed, which is sufficient for most applications. The LED strips can be operated in temperatures up to 60° C (140° F). However, it must be ensured that the driver and power cord remain dry, and are installed in locations with a max. ambient temperature of 45° C (113° F).
Flashing is typically a sign of an overloaded driver. Use a higher wattage driver, or reduce the number of lights.
Plug your Mesh Box into the Driver, it should automatically start blinking (meaning it’s in Pairing Mode). If it’s not blinking when you plug the Mesh Box into the Driver, hold the reset button down on the Mesh Box for at least 10 seconds, counting a full second (i.e. one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, etc.), until you reach 10 seconds. The Mesh Box will start blinking after 4 seconds. Please continue holding the Reset Button for the full 10 seconds.

Create New Network & Room
- Name the Network (example: Customer Last Name), select Next.
- Pick a Room(s), put a (check mark) ✓ beside the room, select Create Network
- Mission Accomplished, select Finish.
The Network has been created.
After creating your Network, the app will take you to the Dashboard.
Note: Dashboard will let you add your 1st Device (Mesh Box).It is recommend to add the Mesh Box first. You will then need to go under the “Device Tab” to add the rest of your Devices (Mesh Boxes).
Note: You must be in “Set on Mode” to add Devices to a Network.
Plug the Mesh Box Distributor into the Driver. It should start blinking as soon as you plug the Mesh Box Distributor into the Driver. Be sure to have only 1 Device (Mesh Box) in Pairing Mode at a time.
After creating your Network, the app will take you to the Dashboard. The Dashboard will let you add the 1st Mesh Box, then you will need to go to the Device Tab to add additional devices (Mesh Boxes). Be sure your devices (Mesh Boxes) are in Pairing Mode.
For Pairing Mode: Hold the reset button down on the Mesh Box for at least 10 seconds. Counting a full second (i.e. one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, etc.) until you reach 10 seconds. The Mesh Box will start blinking on its own and show it is in Pairing Mode.
- Go to Device Tab
- Select Add Devices or select the plus mark (+) on the screen, to add the Device (Mesh Boxes)
The App will search for Devices (Mesh Boxes & Remotes/Switches) nearby.
- The blinking Mesh Box will pop up on the Add Device screen; select the Mesh Box.
- On, the Name screen, you can rename the Device if needed, the Next.
- On the Room screen, add the Device to the Room you created.
- By putting a check mark (✓) beside it (you can create a new Room if needed.)
- Select Add to Network. Mesh Box will Connect, Update, Receive & Configure the Mesh Box to the Network.
- Mission Accomplished, select Finish.
Devices have been successfully added to the Network.
Now the Mesh Box is in the Network! Follow the instruction on the screen. Instructions may vary based on what type of Mesh Box you have: 6-Port, 4-Port, or 2-Port Mesh Box.
If you have a 6-Port Mesh (12V 850.00.042 or 24V 850.00.043) you must activate the Light Ports and maybe the Switch Port (if you are adding a Sensor Switch). Follow the instructions on the screen. The screen will show the Mesh Box but at the bottom of the screen it says: “This Mesh Box is missing some Devices. Let’s get started!”
- Select the Add Devices tab.
This will take you to the Device Ports screen.
- You must specify the type of lights you are adding to the Light Ports. There are 3 different types of lights:
- Monochrome Ports use: 1-6
- 3-Wire Tunable White Ports use: 1 & 2, 3 & 4, or 5 & 6 (do not cross the wires)
- RGB Ports use: 1, 2 & 3 or 4, 5 & 6 (do not cross the wires)
(Monochrome Light Ports use storage on the Mesh Box. Once you have 5 Light Ports filled you will get a “Configuration Limit Reached” alert. That’s ok, you can still have all 6 Lights Ports & the Sensor Switch Port active.)
- You must activate the Switch Port if you need to add a Sensor Switch to the Mesh Box, be sure to Enable the Sensor Port; any sensory can be attached.
- Select Save.
The Mesh Box will automatically connect to Device, receiving Device information & Configure the Device to the Network.
- Mission Accomplished; select Finish.
Now your 6-Port Mesh Box Distributor (12V 850.00.042 or 24V 850.00.043) and Switch Port are active. You can now turn the lights on/off/dim & change temperature or color depending on the type of lights you are using. You will need to assign the Sensor Switch, to what you want the Sensor Switch to control: a Group, Room, Devices, or Scene.
With the Switch Port activated, you must connect the Sensor Switch to a Room, Group, Device, or Scene. Once the Switch is added:
- Go to the Devices tab where you will see Sensor 1.
- Click on Sensor 1 (that is the Sensor Switch). It will say “This Sensor does not control any Devices. Let’s get connected!”
- Select Connect. It will give you the options to pick the Room, Device, Group or Scene to control the Lights (you must create a Group or Scene to pick these options).
- If you select Room, that switch will control everything on the Network.
- If you select Device, it will let you pick certain Lights you want the Switch to control.
If you want the Switch to control the Room:
- Select Room.
- Select the Room; put a check mark (✓) beside the Room you want to control.
- Select Save.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
The switch is now controlling the Room.
If you want the Switch to control a Device:
- Select Devices.
- Select the Lights by putting a check mark (✓) beside the Lights you want to control.
- Select Next.
- Name the Device (it Creates a Group, Group Name).
- Select Save.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
The switch is now controlling the Device / Group.
If you want the Switch to control the Group or Scene:
- First create the Group or Scene (if it hasn’t already been created).
- Select Group or Scene.
- Select the Group or Scene Name; put a check mark (✓) beside the Select the Group or Scene Name you want to control.
- Name the Device (it Creates a Group, Group Name).
- Select Save.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
The switch is now controlling the Group or Scene.
When you need to add a Sensor Switch after the Mesh Box is already set up:
- Select the Mesh Box, that the Sensor Switch is activated on.
- You will see 3 dots in a circle at the top right; select the 3 dots.
- Select Reconfigure. It will show you the Light & Sensor Port screen.
- Enable the Sensor Port, then select Save. Mesh Box will Connect, Receive & Configure the Mesh Box to the Network.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
Devices have been successfully added to the Network.
When activating the 3-Wire Tunable White Light Ports on the 6-Port Mesh Box Distributor (12V 850.00.042 or 24V 850.00.043). You must have a 3-Wire 6-Way Adapter (12V 833.95.745 or 24V 833.77.830) to convert the 3-Pin Light to fit into the 2-Pin Mesh Box Distributor. You can connect, up to (3) 3-Wire Tunable White 6-Way Adapters to the 6-Port Mesh Box Distributor.
Open the 3-Wire Tunable White adapter(s) into the 6-Port Mesh Box Distributor. Pick one of the valid ports below:
- Ports 1 & 2
- Ports 3 & 4
- Ports 5 & 6
(Do not cross the wires)
- Open the Device Ports screen.
- Select the Tunable White Light. It will automatically fill in Ports 1 & 2, hit the Tunable White Light again & it will fill in ports 3 & 4, hit the Tunable White Light one more time & it will fill in ports 5 & 6.
- Select Save. Mesh Box will Connect, Receive & Configure the Mesh Box to the Network.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
Devices have been successfully added to the Network.
When activating the RGB Light Ports on the 6-Port Mesh Box Distributor (12V 850.00.042 or 24V 850.00.043). You must have an RGB 6-Way Adapter (12V 833.95.746 or 24V 833.77.831) to convert the 4-Pin Light to fit into the 2-Pin Mesh Box Distributor. You can connect, up to (2) RGB 6-Way Adapters to the 6-Port Mesh Box Distributor.
Plug the RGB adapter(s) into the 6-Port Mesh Box Distributor. Pick one of the valid ports below:
- Ports 1, 2 & 3
- Ports 4, 5 & 6
(Do not cross the wires)
- Open the Device Ports screen.
- Select the RGB Light. It will automatically fill in Ports 1, 2 & 3 hit the RGB Light again & it will fill in ports 4, 5 & 6.
- Select Save. Mesh Box will Connect, Receive & Configure the Mesh Box to the Network.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
Devices have been successfully added to the Network.
After adding your Mesh Box Distributor, you can now control the lights that are plugged into that Mesh Box Distributor. Select the back arrow to take you back to the Device tab. You will see all the Lights you’ve added.
If you select the Dot to the left of the Light Name, you can turn the Lights on and off.
- Monochrome will be a Yellow Dot
- Tunable White will be a Yellow, White & Blue Dot
- RGB will be all the colors Dot
If you select the Name of the Light, it will take you into the Light, you can turn the Lights:
- On
- Off
- Dimming
Depending on the type of lights you are using:
- Tunable White lights - change the temperature
- RGB lights - change the color
After connecting your 1st Mesh Box to the Network, you can add more Devices (Mesh Boxes & Remotes/Switches) to the same Network. Go to the Device tab to add the rest of your Devices (Mesh Boxes & Remotes/Switches).
Be sure to have only 1 Device (Mesh Boxes & Remotes/Switches) in Pairing Mode at a time.
For Pairing Mode: Hold the reset button down on the Mesh Box & Remote/Switch for at least 10 seconds. Counting a full second (i.e. one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, etc.), until you reach 10 seconds. The Mesh Box & Remote/Switch will start blinking on its own and show it’s in Pairing Mode.
- Go to Device Tab
- Select Add Devices or select the plus mark (+) on the screen, to add the Device (Mesh Boxes or Remotes/Switches)
The App will search for Devices (Mesh Boxes & Remotes/Switches) nearby.
The blinking Mesh Box or Remote/Switch will appear on the Add Device screen. Select Mesh Box or Remote/Switch.
- On the Name screen, you can rename the Device if needed, then Next.
- On the Room screen, add the Device to the Room you created by putting a check mark (✓) beside it (you can create a new Room if needed).
- Select the Mesh Box. Select Next (you can rename the Mesh Box if needed).
- Select Add to Network. Mesh Box will Connect, Update, Receive & Configure the Mesh Box to the Network.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
Devices have been successfully added to the Network.
Now the Mesh Box is in the Network! Follow the instruction on the Screen.
To add a Battery-operated Bluetooth Wireless Switch, you will need to get your Device (Battery-operated Bluetooth Wireless Switch) in Pairing Mode.
Be sure to have only one Device (Bluetooth Wireless Switch) in Pairing Mode at a time.
For Pairing Mode: Hold the reset button down on the Bluetooth Wireless Switch for at least 10 seconds, counting a full second (i.e. one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, etc.), until you reach 10 seconds. The Bluetooth Wireless Switch will start minimum. Counting a full second like 1- 1000, 2- 1000, until you reach 10 seconds. The Bluetooth Wireless Switch will start blinking on its own & showing it is in Pairing Mode.
- Go to Device Tab
- Select Add Devices or select the plus mark (+) on the screen, to add the Device (Bluetooth Wireless Switch)
The App will search for Devices (Bluetooth Wireless Switch) nearby.
The blinking Bluetooth Wireless Switch will pop up on the Add Device Screen; select the Bluetooth Wireless Switch.
- On the Name screen, you can rename the Device if needed, then Next.
- On the Room screen, add the Device to the Room you created by putting a check mark (✓) beside it (you can create a new Room if needed).
- Select Add to Network. Mesh Box will Connect, Update, Receive & Configure the Mesh Box to the Network.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
Devices have been successfully added to the Network.
Now you have the Bluetooth Wireless Switch Added to the Network. Follow the instructions on the screen. It will say: “This Bluetooth Remotes/Switches does not control any Devices. Let’s get connected!"
- Select Connect.
It will give you the options to pick the Room, Device, Group or Scene to control the Lights (You must create a Group or a Scene to pick these options.)
- If you select Room, that switch will control everything on the Network.
- If you select Device, it will let you pick certain Lights you want the Switch to control.
If you want the Switch to control the Room:
- Select Room.
- Select the Room; put a check mark (✓) beside the Room you want to control.
- Select Save.
- Mission Accomplished! Select Finish.
The switch is now controlling the Room.
If you want the Switch to control a Device:
- Select Devices.
- Select the Lights; put a check mark (✓) beside the Lights you want to control.
- Select Next.
- Name the Device (it Creates a Group, Group Name).
- Select Save.

If you want to add a Kinetic Switch to a 6-Port Mesh Box, you cannot have all the Lighting Ports activated because the Kinetic Switch uses storage. In a 6-Port Mesh (12V 850.00.042 or 24V 850.00.043) all the Lights and Switches use storage. Monochrome Light Ports use storage on the Mesh Box, once you have 5 Light Ports filled you will get a “Configuration Limit Reached” alert. That’s ok, you can still have all 6 Lights Ports and the Sensor Switch Port active, but you will not be able to use a Kinetic Switch with all 6 Ports filled.
When adding a Kinetic Switch (850.00.940 or 850.00.944) to a 6-Port Mesh (12V 850.00.042 or 24V 850.00.043) you can ONLY have 4 Light Ports activated. (You can still activate the Sensor Switch port.) When adding a Kinetic Switch to the Network, the port MAX on the 6-Port Mesh would be 4-Light Ports and the Switch Port activated.
- Go to Device Tab
- Select the plus mark (+) on the screen, to add the Device (Kinetic Switch)
- The App will search for Devices (Kinetic Switch) nearby.
- On the bottom of the Add Device screen, select + Add Kinetic Switch Device.
- Select the correct switch type: Kinetic Switch or Kinetic Double Switch.
- On the Name screen, you can rename the Device if needed, then Next.
- On the Room screen, add the Device to the Room you created by putting a check mark (✓) beside it (you can create a new Room if needed), then Next.
- Parent Device, select the Mesh Box you want to add the Kinetic Switch too.
- Scan QR Code on the back of the Kinetic Switch.
- Other Option is Pair using Teach-in instead (Hold top left Button for 10 seconds, release, hold for 1 second, release hold for 10 seconds. Watch the screen.
- Orientation: To set the Orientation of the Kinetic Switch, press the highlighted button on the Kinetic Switch (showing on the screen).

Plug the Mesh Box Distributor into the Driver. It should start blinking as soon as you plug the Mesh Box Distributor into the Driver. Be sure to have only 1 Device (Mesh Box) in Pairing Mode at a time.
After creating your Network, the App will take you to the Dashboard. The Dashboard will let you add your 1st Mesh Box, then you will need to go under the Device tab to add additional Devices (Mesh Boxes & Remotes/Switches). Ensure your Devices (Mesh Boxes) are in Pairing Mode.

Now the Mesh Box is in the Network! Follow the instruction on the Screen. Instructions may vary based on what type of Mesh Box you have: 6-Port, 4-Port or 2-Port Mesh Box.
You cannot separate the Ports on a 2 Port Mesh Box. Both output ports are controlled together (1 channel). The 2 Port Mesh Box Distributor always controls both output ports together. They function as one single channel, meaning you cannot assign or operate each port independently. This is different from the 4 Port or 6 Port Mesh Boxes, where you can activate, assign, and configure ports separately.
You have 2 ways to operate the Network: Set Up Mode and Control Mode. Go to the gear icon on the top right of the App screen. This will take you to settings. When you select one mode, it will ask you if you want to switch to the other mode.
In the Set Up Mode screen, there are 4 tabs:
- Dashboard
- Device
- Groups
- Scene
To add devices, go to the Device tab, to set up groups go to Group tab, and to set up scenes go to the Scenes tab.
If you have added everything to the Network, you can go into Control Mode to control the Lights another way. Either way will work, but if you want to create a schedule you must switch to Control Mode.
In the Control Mode screen, there are 4 tabs:
- Home
- Groups
- Scene
- Schedule
The Home tab is to manage your favorites, the Group tab is to control the Groups, the Scene tab is to control the Scenes, and the Schedule tab is to set up your schedules.
To create a Group, make sure you are in “Set up Mode”.
- Go to the "Group tab” at the bottom of the App. It will say Add Group.
- Click Add Group.
- Select the lights you want in the Group.
- Put a check mark beside the lights you are adding to the Group.
To make sure you are picking the right lights, you can click on the dot to the left:
- Monochrome will be a Yellow Dot
- Tunable White will be a Yellow, White & Blue Dot
- RGB will be all the Colors Dot
You can turn the Lights on & off by clicking on those dots. That way you know you are picking the right lights for the Group.
- Click Next.
- Name the Group.
- Click Add.
- Mission Accomplished! Click Finish.
Now you have created a group. You can continue making more groups if needed.
To create a Scene, make sure you are in “Set up Mode”.
- Go to the "Scene tab” at the bottom of the App. It will say Add Scene.
- Click Add Scene.
- Name the Scene.
- Click Next.
- Put a check mark beside the lights you are adding to the Scene.
To make sure you are picking the right lights, you can click on the dot to the left:
- Monochrome will be a Yellow Dot
- Tunable White will be a Yellow, White & Blue Dot
- RGB will be all the Colors Dot
You can turn the Lights on & off by clicking on those dots. That way you know you are picking the right lights for the Scene.
- Click Next.
- Set the Lights to the desired brightness. If you have Tunable White, you can also pick the temperatures. If you have RGB you can pick the colors.
- Click Add.
- Mission Accomplished! Click Finish.
- Go to Device Tab
- Select the Remote / Switch you added to the Network.
- Select the Button you want the Scene assigned to:
- Button A
- Button B
- Button C
- Select the Scene.
- Click Save.
Now when you click on the button, it will be the scene you created.
To create a Schedule, make sure you are in “Control Mode”.
- Select Add Schedule.
- Name the Schedule.
- Click Next.
- Pick what you want the schedule to control.
The schedule can control:
- Everything
- Group
- Room
- Scene
Follow the screen based off what you have created in the Network. Did you create a Group or a Scene? Do you want it to control the Room or Everything?
- Click Next.
- Pick your scheduled times: Start & End Time.
- Click Next.
You can Edit the Schedule before Saving.
- Name
- Control
- Action
- Time
- Repeat
You can change the name of the Schedule, what the schedule is controlling, the action of the Light, the time, and the occurrence.
- Click Save.
- Mission Accomplished! Click Finish.
- Go to the Gear Icon on the top right of the app screen, which will take you to settings.
- Click Share.
Pick the options on the screen to share in the Network. We recommend emailing the file so the customer has a copy in case they change mobile devices.
- Share Local File
- Transfer via Connect Cloud
NOTE: It is 1 Mesh per 1 Phone/Tablet. If you want more Phones/Tablets to control the Group, you will need more Mesh Box Devices.
- Go to the Gear Icon on the top right of the app screen, which will take you to settings.
- Click Leave.
